Apple PIe

So I have been craving Apple pie for a couple days. I was tempted the other night to get one from Mcdonalds. you know the little turnover ones. Well yesterday I came home from work and Coby and BrieAnn had made one for me. I was so excited and it was very yummy. What a sweet husband I have and he doesnt even like apple pie.

Its been a good morning the kids slept in and I got up early I had almost a whole hour to myself ahhhhhh. So I checked out everyons blogs and I even got to make a little note in my own. I can not believe how fast time flies. Maybe by Christmas I will post the pictures of Halloween.

Happy Birthday CAYSON

It is hard to believe it has been a year. My baby has grown so much. We celebrated last Sunday with family. We blew up a bunch of balloons for a balloon room and the kids had a good time.

Three 70s Share Medalist Honors at OverlakeThree players, Coby Duffin, Denny Job, and Corey Creger, shot two under par 70 to share medalist honors at the Utah State Amateur Qualifying held Saturday at Overlake Golf Course in Tooele. Joseph Kelsey also broke par with a 71, and Jason Struck, Joseph Wight, Nic Booth, and Jeff McDonald shot even par 72s.The cut came at 77 with 25 players advancing to the finals at Soldier Hollow July 9-13.The weather was nearly ideal for golf. June 16, 2007Only One Player Breaks Par in Murray PM QualifyingJohn Nicholson was the only player to break par in the Saturday afternoon qualifying session for the Utah State Amateur and he accomplished the task by just one shot, a 71. Spiders

I love blogging but, I never have time :) BrieAnn and I had a funny conversation this morning so I thought I would share real quick. It still makes me giggle.

So we were getting ready for preschool and I asked BrieAnn if she wanted some yogurt and she said yes so I grabbed it and looked at the top the expiration was 3/26/08 a little old :) so I said sorry it is expired and I threw it in the garbage. not thinking anything of it.

BrieAnn opened the garbage and said I want to see the spiders. I just started to laugh and said no it expired it is bad. So she still didnt quite get it and thought the yogurt had spiders so we opened a few and to see the spiders and we talked about the expiration date and calendar and grocery shopping and eating things before they go bad. so I thought she got it.

then in the car driving to preschool she told me she wouldnt eat spiders because they would make her sick. :) I just said yup don't eat spiders.

So don't eat stuff that has expired (spiders)!

Spring

new post finally....... Nothing really exciting going on. Kids, hubby, work and life the usual things.

IT IS SPRING!!!!!!!!!!

I love spring and Easter is my very favorite favorite holiday. We had a great day. Nice weather and a Family Easter egg hunt in the Morning and then another Egg hunt and BBQ with some neighbors later in the Day. BrieAnn had a Blast finding all the eggs, eating candy, blowing bubbles and running around with all the kids and Cayson was in a great mood all day even though he missed quite a bit of nap time. Having little kids makes all the holidays so much fun. We enjoyed ourselves visting with family and friends playing hula -hoop, guitar hero and basketball and I ate way too many jelly beans.

My sweet Cayson woke me up this morning screaming at 6am this is actually very unusual. Cayson normally is such a happy baby he wakes up takling and squealing happily at aroung 8am. I jumped out of bed and raced down the hall thinking something had to be wrong and there he was on his tummy screamming. I had to laugh. It is amazing to me how anyone can turn one way and not the other and get so mad and frustrated about it. Isnt is fun to watch kids grow. A new adventure everyday.

THE ZOO IN THE WINTER !

Coby woke up yesterday and wanted to go to the zoo! It was kind of random you never think about the zoo in the winter but, we had a great time all the animals were out playing. I have never actually seen some of the animals moving in the summertime zoo trips but, in the winter some of them were more active. It was not very crowded really wasnt that cold it got to about 40 degrees. Sadly the train was closed I don't know if it was due to all the snow we have had lately or if they always close it in the winter. The kids had a great time and so did Coby, Grandma and I. We had to get Cayson some sunglasses because it was so bright and all they had were these funny looking frog ones. Everyone thought they were funny and kept making comments at how cute Cayson looked.

My new Favorite things

So If you dont know already I have been trying to lose weight and eat better and here are a couple of my yummy finds.

Fiber one oats and carmel bars - chewy and carmel with 9 grams of fiber

Amy's Organic Chunky Tomato Bisque - better than some resturants. I found it in the regular soup isle at Albertsons.

Homemade Pita chips- Take a whole wheat pita cut it in triangles and then seperate them into one thickness I just tear them but you can cut them. Spray with some spray butter and them sprinkle with sea salt. Broil until they are crispy. Yum yum yummy!

Sweet Cayson

Cayson fell asleep in his swing today. He looked so sweet I had to snap a picture. He sleeps with one eye open you can kind of see it in this picture. It is something he inherited from his Daddy. It is kind of creepy. BrieAnn does it also. I guees geeting thier beautiful eyes from thier daddy has its draw backs as well.

Yesterday

So yesterday- I went into work and it was a very busy hectic day as most Mondays are. I got home around 7ish. I was greeted at the door by BrieAnn telling me she was glad I was home and I sat down to a diner Coby prepared it was so nice. We all played tag and hide and go seek and then BrieAnn read me her books and tucked me into her bed and told me good night. It was a pefect evening to a very long day. I have the best husband and kids. I am so greatful for the joy they bring me.

Daddy can really get him laughing. Must be because I am not
as funny looking.

2008

I am going to try and keep up with a blog this year. I love looking at every one's pictures and reading about what is going on in their families. Here is the latest for our Family.
BrieAnn - 3yrs old. Just started preschool and learning about letters. She loves to make lots of noise and dance. She is always in motion. Curious and into everything. She likes to play just about anything. Lately her favorites include ponies, dress-up and tag. Her current favorite movie is "The Land Before Time" we have watched it about 100 times in the last few weeks.
Cayson - is almost 4 months old not much to tell yet. He laughs he smiles he sleeps through the night Woohoo! He is trying to figure out how to roll over and keep his head up. He has a sweet easygoing personality unless he is hungry.

Coby- Just mastered Guitar Hero III medium and is now working on completing the hard level. He also likes to race and play tennis on the Wii. It keeps him busy during the winter while the golf courses are frozen. He is working for Satellite USA and don't ask me exactly what he does because he doesn't even know how to explain it.

Jeanie- can play two songs all the way through on guitar hero EASY level. What can I say I have other things to do ha ha and Coby is always hogging the game. This year I started scrap booking digitally and I love it. I am trying to convert all my friends. I am currently working for one company Green River Capital instead of 5 different ones. I go in to the office one day a week and the rest I work from home. It is so nice to have a steady paycheck again and get the flexibility of working from home. As of Jan 1st I started running again and so far I have ran/walked everyday for 13 days. It is getting a little easier and I hope to be ready to do some races later this year.

2007 brought on many new things but the biggest and best change of all was the addition of Cayson Gardner Duffin 9/26/07.
